You have found your way here because there is something you're missing, craving almost, and may not be sure what it is. Perhaps you are surrounded by people yet somehow still feel lonely, or remote work has stolen the daily informal interactions that you didn't know you needed; perhaps you have found that there is a pattern in your relationships that have left them feeling empty or off-balance.

Connection exists within the most calm, baseline state of our nervous system.  It is both a sign and a contributor to us feeling well. People who report healthy connections live longer, have better self-esteem, and less stress.  Erin and the team at Wood Sorrel Wellness believe connection is the most important part of our lives that we never talk about.

WE CREATED THIS COURSE TO SPECIFICALLY ADDRESS THE LOSS OF CONNECTION AND HOW TO FIND IT AGAIN IN YOURSELF AND WITH OTHERS.

Find Your Squad is something uniquely created to recognize the importance of connection within the unique stressors
of today.

WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?

This course is about the basics; "Connection 101", if you were taking a college class.  It returns us to the foundations we learned about connection (in healthy or less healthy ways) and how that is applicable to right now.

The learning expands upon those basics to bring in concepts of psychology, education, mindfulness, and strength based skill-building to sustainably build in more connection throughout a lifespan.  

​

We acknowledge and name why and how it's hard, and together build skills to feel more ease and access to this core experience of being human.  We evolved to seek mooring and this is a time when too many of us may feel adrift.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO LEARN? 

3 Module Digital Course, related worksheets to refine your new skills, journal prompts to integrate your new skills, and bonus tip sheets. The course has over 7 hours of tools and education to help you learn and grow.

MODULE 1

The first module prompts us to think about and learn the why and what of connection. We look at how we've seen it so far and how we can shift our perspective. We will explore the sources of internal and external connection we have access to.

MODULE 2

The second module is all about the Practice of Boundaries.  We seek to sustainably balance safety with flexibility.  Erin sees boundaries as a practice, something we will attend to and revisit throughout our development.

MODULE 3

The third module, called Evolve, takes a developmental approach.  The pathways to connection feel different as an adult than in earlier parts of your life. We'll look at what makes connection hard, and what tools we can use to dismantle those challenges.

CONNECTION IS MORE IMPORTANT NOW THAN EVER

After the pandemic, more than ever, we are all in need of more, deeper connections.  It's as if we've forgotten how to do this, even with the people closest to us. And as a time of transitions, loneliness, internal struggles, and growth - Connection can be crucial.

I've been there and have worked with many clients dealing with the same thing...

Hello There!

I created this course, after noticing trends in myself and others. In 2021, amidst social distancing, I noticed a trend within myself and others: small talk felt awkward. Social interactions felt overwhelming, almost as if a tolerance had gone down. During this time, I felt incredibly burned out and stressed from managing a business, raising children, and working a full-time job. So many of the resources that had sustained me through past stressful times had been stolen by the pandemic. This caused an inner reckoning; a massive reset of every structural piece of my life.  My husband and I moved our family 400 miles, across state lines, to my hometown.

This move, and the life-long friends and family that I had access to in this place allowed me to heal from the burnout and feel held through multiple personal losses that occurred in the following year. Now on the other side of this tumultuous time, I recognize the pattern of support that I needed. Connection healed me, connection held me through the losses of both of my parents in six months.

 

Connection has allowed me to set a new course in alignment with my truest self. Not everyone needs a drastic change, but we all can tap into this super tool, and receive the level of healing that we uniquely need. Please take care of you, and know that you're not alone. - Erin
